Irnini Mons & Eric Foster

von Cosmic Dawn

French rock outfit Irnini Mons approach post-punk in an oblique, candid way. With the intent of contributing to the relevancy of modern guitar-based music, they put their four personas at work since 2021 to craft a mixed, diverse solution of indie, progressive, pop and grungy rock. Formed with ex-members of the former punk band Decibelles (endorsed by the legendary producer Steve Albini), the four musicians all sing, sometimes in solo, sometimes in polyphony, always in French.
After touring intensely in several European countries, including a run with Shellac in 2022 and prestigious festivals (Trans Musicales – Rennes, MENT – Ljubljana, MaMA Music & Convention – Paris), the band released its first full length album in spring 2024.

Line-up:
Fanny Bouland (drums, vocals)
Guillaume Carle (bass, vocals)
Sabrina Duval (guitar, vocals)
Valentin Fayaud (guitar, vocals)

Support: ERIC FOSTER

In the age of do-it-yourself home recording, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Eric Foster fully embraces the creative possibilities of modern technology. Crafting song after song, Foster’s catalog forms a detailed self-portrait that listeners might just find relatable.
Originally based in Berlin, Eric Foster began performing in 2023 with a rotating lineup of musicians, bringing fresh energy to his songs. In 2024, Foster relocated to Jena, where he quickly formed a new band featuring Aaron P. (drums), Emmy F. (bass), and Lennart S. (guitar). Since then, they have performed in multiple cities throughout Thuringia. After releasing his debut album, My Cactus Died and I Feel Nothing, Foster began working on his yet-to-be-named sophomore effort. In 2024, he released four singles to promote this upcoming album.
Foster’s debut album explores a variety of alternative styles, with tracks ranging from intimate chamber-folk tunes to grungy ’90s rock homages. Lyrically, the album is unified by themes of melancholy and longing. His 2024 releases build on these foundations, incorporating modern production techniques while drawing inspiration from early shoegaze and slowcore. With new music slated for release in 2025 and multiple shows planned, Eric Foster is poised to make the most of the new year.
